Well here it is - my attempt at "blogging". I have no idea how this is supposed to go - all I know is that I should be keeping a better record of my family and all the crazy, insane, and wonderful things that happen to us on a daily basis. I decided to go with a "Web" theme because well our last name is Webster and plus I thought it might be fun to give all of us spider names! Many of the blogs I read don't actually use their family/children's real names and I decided that maybe I would do the same. Not that I'm actually writing this for anyone but myself to really see and read but just in case, I'll stick with spider names rather than the real thing.
This year I really wanted to keep a better journal of all the wonderful and silly things that my children do everyday, but here we are well into February and I've sat down and written twice in a journal (and by journal I mean word document on the computer). So needless to say that not all of my New Year's resolutions are staying on schedule. But I did decide that I wanted to take a picture everyday and put them all over my bedroom wall. Not a picture of anything in particular (even though 99% thus far are of my beautiful children) but just pictures of life, and that resolution is going very well. Every week when I go to Walmart I just print out the pictures from the past week and add them to my wall. I get to wake up every morning and see all the wonderful things in my life. Plus the kids think it's so fun to look at themselves every night as we sit on my bed and read scriptures & say prayers.
So now I've decided that I should take each picture and write something about it, such as where it was or what we were doing when it was taken. And although that isn't as good as keeping a journal - at least its a start. But now the problem is that I have to get caught up! It is February 20th already so I have seven weeks of "entries" to make before I can feel like I'm back on track again. I have to admit I'm pretty excited about trying to keep a record of all the busy-ness that is life these days. Plus I hope that my children can look back on these things and be glad that Mom was always at least trying to make their days better and their future brighter.
Now I need to do a little research and come up with appropriate spider names for the family...
